Welcome to the library blog

The University Library is pleased to be able to announce the launch of the library blog*.

The blog is called http://yourlibrarynda.blogspot.com/ and will be used to post information about the University Library. The url for the blog is http://www.yourlibrarynda.blogspot.com/ and you will also be able to link to it from the Services segment on the Library web page. This link should be posted in the next few days.

The kinds of things you would expect to find here would be news about new library services and resources (e.g new books added to the collection and new databases), referrals to websites that are useful in supporting your studies, and changes to the library buildings and services. Comments that relate to particular libraries will be tagged to indicate this.

We would like to encourage you to read the blog and make comments about the postings. Your comments are invaluable in helping us identify shortcomings in the services, collections and facilities. You might even want tell us about the things you like about the service.

With the advent of the blog the Library will rely less on the use of broadcast emails to provide information about the Library. We will generally only use the broadcast email for urgent or crucial information we want you to know about (such as service outages). In the near future we hope to be able to provide an option for you to subscribe to the blog and receive notifications via email of updates (should you choose to do this).

We hope you will find this a useful service.

* A blog is a website where entries are written and displayed in date order. The entries are posted by authors, and viewers can post comments about these entries which are visible to other readers of the blog. They will contain links to other websites of relevance as well as images and other files. (Click here for further information about blogs and their development).
