Huge range of new Thomsons databases

We can now offer library users access to a large range of new databases provided by Thomson Gale (providers of the Academic Onefile and Expanded Academic ASAP databases).

These databases contain the usual full academic journal titles but in some cases the publisher has supplmented the journal content with e-books. The volume of e-books is small at the moment but we would expect this to increase over time as the collection is developed. These e-books are generally reference items - encyclopedias and dictionaries - that supplement the journal articles. This is part of a push on the part of database publishers to create subject 'portals' for research in specific discipline areas.

What follows is a list of the some of the new databases. The title will link you to the database itself so that you can begin searching. Off-campus users will be asked to login with their webmail login before they can access the database.

A full set of title lists for the databases can be found here.
