The University Library is currently trialling access to its collections of electronic resources in Google Scholar.
This means that Google Scholar searches the Web and the Library's collections of databases and e-journals, connecting you with full text articles more relevant to your study needs.
To access the Google Scholar trial, go to the Databases page in the Library Portal and select the Google Scholar link. This link has been configured to authenticate your access to the Library's full text articles upon login.
To take advantage of the Library's collection in Google Scholar, first set up your preferences by:
> selecting 'Scholar Preferences' > 'Library Links'
> enter 'University of Notre Dame Australia'
> tick the radio button and
> click 'Save Preferences'.
SEARCH TIPS
> keep your searches simple by using single words
> include '+' in front of those words you definitely want included in your search. eg. +global warming +corporations +Australia
> use the Advanced Scholar Search to increase the accuracy of your searches by performing author searches, restricting by journal title, date and using Boolean operators
TECH TIPS
Citations that display with the large link text 'E-resources @ NDA' next to the title are likely to be available in full text from the Library's collection.
Search results may also display the small text 'Findit @NDA' at the bottom of each citation, this is because you have set the University of Notre Dame Australia as your preference, but these links do not link to full text articles.
