Guide to Evidence Based Practice

The Library has developed and made available a Guide to Evidence Based Practice on the Library Website. This is a general guide for use in all the health disciplines nationally.

The Guide introduces the concept of Evidence Based Practice and takes you through the process using the Ask, Acquire, Appraise, Apply and Assess Framework (adapted from Duke University), with useful explanations, diagrams, videos and links.

It explains question structures, study designs, and search strategies. It also provides checklists on how to appraise the information you find and resources to guide you in applying Evidence Based Practice in your research.
