Let's face it, you probably will do this (or you probably already have!)
Scenario: You've finished working in the University Library, saved your work, packed everything up, gone home and then realised your Flash Drive isn't in your bag...
What do you do?
Apart from panic, you need to contact the library you were just in as someone has probably handed it in to the Loans Desk.
When you get your Flash Drive back (or purchased a new one), you need to do the following so this never happens again...

What do you do?
Apart from panic, you need to contact the library you were just in as someone has probably handed it in to the Loans Desk.
When you get your Flash Drive back (or purchased a new one), you need to do the following so this never happens again...
- After you've plugged in your Flash Drive, go to My Computer and right mouse click on "Removable Disk (E:)"
- In the dropdown menu that appears, click on "Properties"
- In the General Tab, you will notice a blank field at
the top with a little icon to the left of it. This is where you type in your University of Notre Dame Student ID number.
- Click on OK.
- Now when you lose it again (you never know, it might happen!), Library staff will be able to find out who it belongs to and contact you.
- Happy studying!
