Library Rules

With the advent of Semester 1/2008 I want to take an opportunity to remind you of some simple rules we would ask you to follow in the St Teresa's Library, Fremantle Campus.  Please check in the other libraries for the local rules they apply.

The rules:

• No food to be consumed inside the library.  The mess left behind attracts insects and vermin.
• Drinks can only be consumed if they are contained by a secure fitting lid which you can drink through (e.g a sports drink bottle)
• Mobile phones are to be on silent ring and used only for SMS except in that part of the library which houses the IT Service Desk.
• Conversations and group discussion is only permitted in the group study rooms or the part of the library which houses the IT Service Desk

We recognise that libraries and library staff have a poor image when it comes to the issuing and enforcing of rules but these rules are designed to make the library a comfortable places for all library users.  We enforce them on behalf of the many students that want a quiet and clean place to study.  

Your co-operation with these simple rules is appreciated.  We will politely remind you if you are not complying with these reasonable rules.
