FAQs for the University Library

Using a Library in 2008 has become a complex business.

The range of services we can offer is increasing all of the time, mainly as a result of networked ICT. However, this increasing availability of electronic information comes with the cost of understanding how to use the variety of products used to provide access to this information.

In an effort to reduce the confusion that we know exists amongst library users about using the services we offer, the library has launched an FAQ knowledge base .

We have begun to 'populate' the knowledge base with questions and answers but we aim to significantly increase these during the course of the year. We will use our own knowledge of the service and the questions library users pose to develop this service.

In many instances the FAQs will point you back to our webpages or those of vendors we deal with but the aim of the service is to centralise useful information into one easy to search central point.

We would be pleased to get questions from you (post them from within the FAQs) or feedback regarding this service.
