ULANZ: University Libraries of Australia & New Zealand

Since 2001, university libraries in Australia and New Zealand have enabled students and staff from other universities to borrow from the collections within their own country, under national borrowing arrangements.   This process is generally called reciprocal borrowing.

As of January 1st 2013 the Australian and New Zealand schemes have been merged to enable students of any Australian university to register to borrow resources from any other university in Australia or New Zealand.

The combined scheme will provide access to 42 million books held in Australian and New Zealand university libraries. Although some libraries charge a small fee, the majority or libraries offer free membership.

You can find general information on becoming a reciprocal borrower on our Library website but to find out more about a specific library and its services you should check the website for this university librarybefore you visit them.  They will require proof of current enrolment or employment and you student or staff card should suffice for this purpose.
